WTNS is built around a simple promise: your journey is yours alone. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle, in plain language. The short version is that your photos, records, and metrics live on your device, not on our servers.
The essentials: WTNS has no user accounts and no cloud sync. Your photos, records, notes, and metrics are stored locally on your iPhone. We cannot see them, and we never sell or share your data.
1. Who we are
WTNS (the "app") is developed and operated by Full Access Media Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for any limited personal data described in this policy, in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What data we collect
WTNS is designed to collect as little as possible. We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other identifying information to use the app.
The only information that may be processed off your device is limited, anonymous technical data used to keep the app stable, described in section 6. Everything else you create in the app stays on your device.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contact details
- Your photos, records, notes, or the metrics you track
- Your location
- Any data that personally identifies you
3. Your photos and records
The heart of WTNS is your photos and the records, notes, and custom metrics you build around them. All of this content is stored locally on your device using your iPhone's on-device storage.
We have no servers that receive, store, or process your photos or records. Because this content never leaves your device through WTNS, we cannot access it, view it, back it up, or recover it for you.
If you choose to use the optional Camera Roll backup feature, copies of your photos are saved to your device's own Photos library, which is governed by Apple's iOS system and your iCloud settings, not by WTNS.
4. Device permissions
WTNS asks for certain iOS permissions so its features can work. You are always in control and can change these at any time in your device's Settings. Each permission is used only for the purpose described.
Camera
Used to take photos within the app, including with the ghost overlay alignment feature. WTNS only accesses the camera while you are actively capturing a photo.
Photo Library
Used if you choose to import existing photos into a record, or to save photos to your Camera Roll with the optional backup feature. WTNS does not scan, upload, or analyse your wider photo library.
Notifications
Used only if you enable reminders, so the app can prompt you to capture your next photo at the interval you choose. Notification scheduling happens on your device.
5. Face ID and Touch ID
WTNS uses Apple's secure Face ID and Touch ID to help keep your journey private. You can lock the entire app so that nobody can open it without your face or fingerprint, and choose an auto-lock timeout ranging from immediate to five minutes.
You can also mark individual Records as private, locked behind Face ID or Touch ID. When a Record is private, even its preview and cover photo will not appear on the app's home screen, so no one glancing at your device can see that the Record exists or what it contains until you authenticate.
We never receive, see, or store your biometric data. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by Apple's system: your face or fingerprint data never leaves the secure hardware on your device and is never accessible to us. WTNS simply asks iOS whether authentication succeeded and receives a yes or no in response.
6. Analytics and crash reporting
To keep WTNS stable and fix problems, we collect a limited amount of anonymous diagnostic information, such as crash reports and basic, aggregated usage statistics (for example, that a feature was opened, or that the app crashed on a particular screen).
This information is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you. It does not include your photos, records, notes, metrics, or any personal identifiers. We use it solely to understand and improve the app's reliability and performance.
Where this diagnostic data is processed by Apple's own tools (such as Apple's App Analytics and crash reporting), it is subject to Apple's privacy practices. You can limit or disable the sharing of diagnostic data with developers at any time in your device's Settings, under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
7. Subscriptions and payments
WTNS is free to download and offers an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. All purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and your Apple Account.
We do not collect or process your payment card details. Apple manages billing, renewals, and receipts. Any information you provide during purchase is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. We may receive anonymised or aggregated sales and subscription reports from Apple that do not identify individual users.
8. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your photos or records with anyone, because we never have access to them in the first place.
The only third parties involved are Apple (for app distribution, subscriptions, and the anonymous diagnostic tools described above) and, where applicable, an analytics or crash-reporting provider acting on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-protection terms, processing only anonymous data. If you use the app's own share or export features to send a time-lapse or photo to someone, that action is initiated and controlled entirely by you.
9. Children's privacy
WTNS is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the app does not collect identifying personal information in the first place, this is largely academic, but if you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will address it.
10. Your rights and choices
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability.
Because WTNS stores your content on your own device and does not hold identifying personal data on our servers, you already have direct and complete control:
- You can view, edit, or delete any photo, record, note, or metric directly in the app at any time.
- You can revoke camera, photo, or notification permissions in your device Settings.
- You can disable sharing of anonymous diagnostic data in your device Settings.
- You can delete the app to remove all of its locally stored data from your device.
If you have any question about your rights or wish to make a request regarding any data we may hold, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
11. Data retention and deletion
Your photos, records, and metrics are retained on your device for as long as you keep them, and are removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall WTNS. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from your device.
Anonymous diagnostic data is retained only as long as needed to analyse and improve app performance, and is held in aggregated or anonymised form that cannot be traced back to you.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be highlighted within the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
